東北教区からのメッセージ
東北教区主教 ヨハネ 加藤博道

会津若松は独特の文化と歴史を持つ町です。その地において１００年、聖公会
東北教区は教会の宣教と幼児教育のため働き続けてきました。大地震により若松
聖愛幼稚園は園舎の建て替えが緊急の課題となりましたが、同時に放射能の脅威
から避難してくる人々、子どもたちを受け入れていく状況にあります。この地に
おける教会と幼児教育の働きを継続していこうと、わたしたちは決断していま
す。皆様が関心を持ってくださることに心から感謝し、さらなる支援とお祈りを
お願いいたします。

Message from the Diocese of Tohoku
Bishop of the Diocese of Tohoku

The city of Aizu Wakamatsu is rich in culture and history. The Anglican Diocese of
Tohoku has been working here, with a focus on ministry and child education, for more than
100 years. Wakamatsu Sei Ai Kindergarten sustained severe damage from the earthquake
and is in need of a new building. This is a particularly urgent priority, since we would like
to accommodate the children of residents of towns near the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear
plant, many of whom evacuated to Aizu Wakamatsu after the disaster. Despite these and
other difficulties, we are determined to carry on with our mission in this historic place. I
offer my sincere gratitude to all of you for your  interest and concern, and hope that you
will continue to support and pray for us.
